Yesterday Sammy and I left at around 3pm from another district that we are working in to get to ASA in time for a cell group we had at 4:30pm. This would be our first time meeting as a cell group here. Our start in ASA consisted of calling contacts from an event that Extreme put on here in Arequipa called Love Extreme. Some of you might actually have been there, others of you might have only heard of it. At the event thousands of contacts were made. So Sammy and I decided to start there by calling those contacts. One of the contacts that wanted us to visit her is a woman named Milagros (Miracles). We visited her for the first time last Sunday and she was very interested in us coming to visit her again. She even told us that she would invite some friends.
We show up at 4:30pm and there were two people there but we were asked to wait a little longer. We sat around and talked for a bit and after about a thirty minutes there were five people! Our first time meeting as a cell group and there was a good number. The Holy Spirit was definitely there as we learned about who God is. At the end we had a great time of prayer and decided to meet again on January 8th.
Please pray that God would give us wisdom and patience as we work here. Also pray for those in the cell group that God will touch their hearts and that they too might have a personal encounter with Jesus Christ.
